The automated timetabling and scheduling is one of the hardest problem areas. This is because of constraints and satisfying those constraints to get the feasible and optimized schedule, and it is already proved as an NP Complete problem. The basic idea behind this study is to develop an automated timetabling system using the clonal selection algorithm. The system was developed using C# and C++, for memory sql server 2008 r2 was used. The research also explores case studies of other institutions timetabling problem and other approaches of scheduling problems which are related to the timetabling problem. The system was tested under predefined constraints and the validity of the results was checked. To test for user perception the system was implemented at BUSE, faculty of science. Thirty five participants from the seven departments that are under the faculty of science, five from each department were used to assess the system. Results from the research unveil that the system is convenient to the timetabling problem, since most of the participant‟s perception on the system were positive.
